Cranes

Cranes

What a beautiful season for birds; well cranes in particular.  Nebraska is home of the largest migration population of cranes during March.  The birds are flying north and they stop here to mate and eat up the corn from the fields below.

Thousands and thousands of these birds dance, sing and eat in the fields below us here at the tower and it is always such a sign of spring for us after a long winter.

This year we added some crane exclusive items to our store and the response was overwhelming.  Thank you for the support of visits to the tower and your support in our gift store.  It is much appreciated and a true sign for return of tourism.
